#6 Meatrix

  Probably, most people might not know about factory farms around 10 years ago. Most of them can just buy many kinds of meats at cheap prices everywhere in U.S. and they still enjoy eating the meat. However, some documentaries about factory farms came out from a few years ago and many people in around world saw these. People who saw the documentaries would not eat meat more frequently than before because the truth of factory farms is enough to make that people feel disgusting. I am also one of them and I want to be a vegetarian after watching the documentary.

  The Meatrix shows about how to raise animals with the conditions of factory farms and how to process them at meat packing plant. The big space of factory farms is in a compact mass with cows, pigs and chickens. Moreover, they did not have even tiny space to move. What was worse, beak of chicken is cut so as to prevent fighting of chickens. Also, for the animals fed in there are exposed diseases, all of them are taken dosages of antibiotics. Dairy cows are bred for high milk production by injecting hormones in their body. If some of animals can not be used to make products, they are sent to slaughter. Finally, the animals are processed with speed at meat packing plant. These are not all. Factory farms also make serious pollution. Animals' manure and urine are moved into waste tarn and the tarn emits toxic gases such as ammonia and methane.

  I think the U.S. government should make strict regulations to prevent environment. It is in a serious level and animals in factory farms would give us harmful influences. Due to greedy of agriculture companies, we are losing our heath and environment. But companies do not recognize what is more important than getting benefits. Whenever I buy some eggs and milk, I have chosen organic things, but I can not believe whether these are really organic. By watching the meatrix, I do not want to eat any meat and fast food for a while.

  In conclusion, all of the people in around world should know about factory farms. If all know about it's problems, they are going to prefer family farm's products. The people who made factory farms should know that even their families are also able to eat their harmful products.

#3 Bad Working Conditions for Workers at Fast Food Companies

   Most people may have ever heard about bad working conditions for workers at fast food companies before. The first linked article is about how many workers working at fast food are unfairly treated by the companies. A reason why they are treated unfairly is because most of them are immigrants and young people. Also, they have to work something out of working time and their tasks, it is not included in their salary. Of course, tasks of fast food are simple and easy in comparison with other companies' tasks. But if they work full-time for over 10 hours a day, it is not easy tasks and comparing with time and money it is included in hard working. Moreover, even some of them do not still get minimum wage. Hence, some can not earn a living in any legitimate way, it can be related with a crime.

   According to these articles, workers of fast food want a union, the hotel employees and restaurant employees union, to get better life. Union organizers have performed one of the biggest things for the employees joined in union. So, some who do not still join in union want to unionize. Moreover, to struggle with expensive rent fee and other costs workers of fast food must be guaranteed about something by their companies. For most of fast food companies are big groups, the companies should treat them as one of their family members, at least full-time workers. If most of the employees do not take care of their businesses due to unfair treatments, an image of the companies would be damaged by them. Hence, they need to mediate their opinions each other.

   To guarantee a contract about health insurance and better salary they just want the employees have to struggle with the companies by doing something. I could find out many articles about these problems because it is of frequent occurrence. The companies should know how they get a lot of profit, including a part of employees' wage. Thus, if the employees still stay not to do something, they would not get any things later.

#2 King Kong

  One thing that comes up as a America's symbol is King Kong. This movie series have played several times before and I could often see it on TV in Korea. And the memory about King Kong is still the strongest because I was little when I saw the movie first. The best scene that I impressed was to be King Kong on the Empire State Building.  It was really fresh watching King Kong on the highest building in the world.  Moreover, the movie expressed real love between the King Kong and a woman and when King Kong was killed, I cried too much. T.T  

That is why King Kong is America's symbol to me. ;)

 My first language is Korean and second one is English. When I was little, I fought a lot to learn texts and meanings of Korean. Korean has many meanings to one word and also includes a lot of meanings of Chinese characters. I think learning Korean, even adults, can be difficult. Moreover, I was a rather slow learner and had to try much more than others. Nevertheless, English was not. I don't remember about how I had an interest in English for the first time, but I felt so much fun learning about English from when I was a elementary student. Of course, English education of Korea focuses on grammar and vocabulary. So, many korean people weak a lot to different parts except grammar and vocabulary. I also was not excepted. My English grades from middle school to high school were not bad and I started to have a goal going study abroad at that time. For this reason, I could come to U.S. and study at college. As time goes on, I feel English is also as difficult as Korean, especially writing. My ability of writing is not bad and I heard several times praises about my writing in Korea. However, compositions that I write in English are really awkward because I write a composition as Korean expressions and expressions of English are limited and sentence order is totally different comparing Korean as well. Due to these problems, my composition becomes simpler and I use in the compositions only skilled expressions to me. Also, when I even use social networks like Facebook and Cyworld, Korean network, I write in Korean. Feeling a responsibility about it, I have to try writing in English everything for my English skills.
